  • When running sp_poolconfig to resize a 128K memory pool within a data cache the following error is reported:         

        1> exec sp_poolconfig 'default data cache', '7G', '128K'

        Msg 5899, Level 16, State 1:
        Server '<server_name>', Procedure 'sp_do_poolconfig', Line 1192:
        The value of the 'max memory' parameter (24157498) defined in the configuration file is not high enough to set the other parameter values specified in the configuration file.
