2984092 - AP rules splitting non-referenced CustomColumn values using Matches operator with commas

Symptom

Assignment Profile (AP) rules splitting non-referenced CustomColumn values using matches operator with commas in 2H2020 (b2011)

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

Use a non-referenced customcolumn value that has a comma in an AP rule with "Matches" operator and see that it separates it to multiple values.

Cause

Regression due to enhancement in 2H2020(b2011) investigated by INC0105563 is no longer supported as per Help Guide: https://help.sap.com/doc/62fddbd651204629b46bbccbabf886ba/2011/en-US/cfee7f608c6947abb70b5f428b7c630a.html

Resolution

As working by design in 2H2020 (b2011) and should not affect current APs, only new APs.

The three workarounds are:

  1. Rename your non-referenced custom column values to not have the comma.
  2. Use the contains Operator or Create a new group in the same AP using the contains Operator instead of matches to include multiple.
  3. Create new referenced custom columns instead.
