Symptom

Data acquisition models in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) failing with error "Query results exceeded the row count limit of 800000. Please edit your query to acquire fewer rows." although there is less then 2000 rows

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2020.18.2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create data model using import connection to odata service with ECC as data source. Finally we see Failed Upload error with the error message in Draft Data window.
  2. Or open an existing model, schedule an update.
  3. In Data Management under Data Timeline observe error message.
    The error starts to occur suddenly. No error before.

Cause

This issue is currently under investigation by development.
