You are experiencing inconsistent and incorrect behavior when assigning users to BPC security profiles, for example data access profiles (DAP)
You can assign a new profile to the user and save successfully, but it does not save.
Connecting through BPC web client to maintain security you assign a DAP, or other security profiles, to a user and click save.
You get a message that save was successful
If you log off BPC and log back in the new profile is not saved, you may see a different profile that you had deleted showing instead
