Symptom

HADR monitoring queries fail with a stacktrace amidst disconnect errors on primary or DR servers on SAP ASE HADR systems.

  • The stacktrace references the functions:

kctCheckAsync
ksct_startio
usctcancel
omni_ct_cancel
CtlibRemoteAccess::startRpcScan
RPCRemoteAccess::startScan

The stacktrace is followed by timeslice errors in following functions:

pthread_cond_wait 
sybnet_cancel_async
np_io_close
ct_close
ksctsuspend
usctconnect
omni_ct_connect

  • Subsequent stacktrace errors result in the messsage:
