2938586 - "No data found. Try adjusting the filter settings." when creating customer return with reference in app "Manage Customer Returns" - SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Symptom

After navigating to the screen of "Create Customer Return with Reference" after clicking Create button in app "Manage Customer Returns", when clicking Go button, the response says:

  • No data found. Try adjusting the filter settings.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open app "Manage Customer Returns".
  2. Click Create button.
  3. Click Go button.
  4. Response says "No data found. Try adjusting the filter settings.".

Cause

If all the sales document types are allowed for each of your sales areas, you do not need to specify any settings here. However, if you would like to restrict the sales document types allowed per sales area, then you must have defined at least one reference sales area by specifying a common (reference) sales organization, distribution channel, and division. Once one or more reference sales areas have been defined, you can then assign the allowed sales document types to one or more sales areas. If you assign one sales document type to a sales area, you must then assign all other existing sales document types to their allowed sales areas. Otherwise, when any one sales document type is assigned to a sales area, all unassigned sales document types are considered as invalid.

Resolution

There are 2 alternative options you can choose to solve this issue.

Option 1:
Maintain corresponding entries regarding desired sales area and sales document type CBAR.

Option 2:
Delete all the existing entries within configuration step "Assign Sales Document Types Permitted for Sales Areas" (ID 102185).
