Symptom

  • Intermittent, or consistent network errors occur with workflows
  • Errors may include, but are not limited to the following:
    • (..\ocaframework\ServerObjectHelper.cpp:79) ServerObjectHelper: server at addresses <address>:<port>(Family: Unspecified) did NOT respond. Will throw CORBA_COMM_FAILURE.
    • Exception occured : com.crystaldecisions.thirdparty.org.omg.CORBA.TRANSIENT: attempt to establish connection failed: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect minor code: 0x4f4f0001 completed: No
    • *** ERROR: RWJobLauncher failed to connect to CMS. (BODI-1250220)
    • Hostname not found
    • com.crystaldecisions.thirdparty.org.omg.CORBA.COMM_FAILURE: gethostbyname() failed: java.net.UnknownHostException: <hostname> minor code: 0x4f4f000e  completed: No
  • Placing all services on one host results in consistent successful workflow
