2920675 - Application error is received when restarting process for onboardee - Onboarding 2.0

Symptom

Application error is being received after restarting the process for the candidate in the BPE: Manage Process Task.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 2.0 - All versions

Reproducing the Issue

Issue Onset: Unable to initiate onboarding for candidate due to error. After this issue is fixed, you have to initiate onboarding for those candidates that were initiated but did not trigger an onboarding activity by following the steps:

  1. Go to Admin centre
  2. BPE: Manage Process Task
  3. Restart

Actual Issue: Application error is being received after restarting the process for the candidate in the BPE: Manage Process Task.

Cause

This issue has occurred due to compensation entity mapping where the value mapped is either wrong or invalid.

Resolution

1. Please restart task from BPE:Process tasks and it should be successful. 

2. Successfully restarted task end up with external users error flow due to "Exception while invoking TaskListener: Illegal character in query at index 178: /xi/ui/onboarding2/pages/onb2Proce" - This is a known bug and will be fixed soon as part of engineering ticket PLC-24385.

3. If application error is occurrring, please check whether Job req id for the candidate is either closed or deleted. We cannot restart for candidates from closed/deleted job req Id.
