2918263 - Impossible to change the email login of a candidate in RMK - Recruiting Marketing

Symptom

Candidates are not able to change their email login which is also the email address which they are receiving job alerts on.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing
  • SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Cause

When Recruiting Marketing (RMK) is connected to Recruiting Management (RCM), it is now using the Candidate Account Simplification (CAS) to synchronize the candidate account between RMK and RCM.

Because of this feature, the email login is hosted in RCM and it's not possible to change it in RMK and RCM doesn't handle the change of the email login.

So in RMK the email login as well as the email used to send the job alert cannot be updated.

Resolution

It's not possible for a candidate to change the email login in RMK when it's connected to RCM with CAS.

The candidate needs to create a new account with the new email.
