This knowledge Base Article provides an explaination on the acceptable prefix for Card Numbers within SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding.

Reproducing the Issue
- Log into Onboarding application.
- Open E-Verify activity of affected candidate via View at a Glance.
- Below error encounters.
Cause
1st Scenario:
Card Number has an incorrect prefix. Usually, these incorrect prefixes starts with USA* which is not acceptable/valid.
2nd Scenario:
The DateOfBirth of the candidate is less than 1989-08-31. Therefore, the candidate does not have the most updated Card I551 with them, but these cards are still considered valid.
Resolution
For the 1st scenario:
Please see example of card I551 and where number is placed. Card number also can be placed at the backend of the card.

For the 2nd Scenario:
For Customers:
If you have a candidate that has a DateOfBirth of less than 1989-08-31, moving forward, you don't have to put Card Number details on them.
For SAP Product Support:
If their Card I551 are like this photo below, these are one of the old card numbers but these are still considered valid. Please see internal memo.
