Reproducing the Issue
- Log into Onboarding application.
- Open E-Verify activity of affected candidate via View at a Glance.
- Below error encounters.
Card Number has an incorrect prefix. Usually, these incorrect prefixes starts with USA* which is not acceptable/valid.
The DateOfBirth of the candidate is less than 1989-08-31. Therefore, the candidate does not have the most updated Card I551 with them, but these cards are still considered valid.
For the 1st scenario:
Please see example of card I551 and where number is placed. Card number also can be placed at the backend of the card.
Acceptable prefixes are detailed in this KBA: 2876136 - ev30 Documents I551 and I766 - Onboarding
For the 2nd Scenario:
If you have a candidate that has a DateOfBirth of less than 1989-08-31, moving forward, you don't have to put Card Number details on them.
For SAP Product Support:
If their Card I551 are like this photo below, these are one of the old card numbers but these are still considered valid. Please see internal memo.
