2850815 - Unable to open SAP ASE Sybase service/instance log file on windows platform - SAP ASE


  • SAP ASE Service account (which is in local Admin group and used to create Sybase ASE instance) is unable to open up the Sybase ASE service/instance log file(errorlog) when ASE service is started and running;
  • "Access is denied." message is prompted when trying to open the log file with Notepad; 
  • The log file can be copied and the copied file can be opened successfully.
