How to add a custom field in the Candidate Profile using Manage Templates?

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management - All Versions
Resolution
If the user don't have access to Manage Templates, please refer to the article 2365214 - The Manage Templates Tool - Recruiting Management.
NOTE: It is very important to keep in mind this tool is extremely powerful. Modifications made to templates can have a direct impact on candidate experience, integrations, custom integrations, etc. Change should only be made by a qualified individual that is familiar with the configuration.
The following steps refers on how to implement a custom field in the Candidate Profile template:
- In Admin Center, go to Manage Templates
- Select Recruiting Management tab and Candidate Profile Template
- Select the default template
- On the landing page, go to the button of the page and click on "#Fields defined. Click to modify."
- Click on "Add" dropdown button and select "Add Custom Field"
- After adding the field, you will be redirected to it
- Field information:
- Field Id - The field id must be unique and will be limited to a XML format.
- Field Type - The field type defines if the field will be, for e.g., a picklist, text, date, etc. Please, be advised that each field type will follow a certain behavior and will may require an extra configuration. For e.g., if you select picklist, you must refer a picklist id and, if necessary, a parent picklist id. - Field Label - The field label is the one displayed on the BizX. You can also link the label to a specific language by clicking on "Add More+" button.
- Field Description - As saying, the field description will be the description of the field when you move you cursor upon it. You can link each description for each language as well.
- Required Attribute - The required attribute will defined if the field is required or not. The candidate won't be able to create the profile or perform any change without filling the field if required.
- Anonymized Attribute - The anonymized attribute will set the field to be purged. Please refer to the following article for more information: 2103423 - DRM 2.0 to Purge Inactive Candidates and Inactive Applications - RCM
- Is Sensitive Attribute - Please refer to the following article for more information about this attribute: 2556844 - New Tag for identifying sensitive personal Data (SPD) - Recruiting Management
- After filling the necessary information, hit done.
- To complete the process, click in "Publish" button.
It's important to remember that a custom field will not be reportable at this moment. In order to made a custom field reportable, you must follow this article: 2081508 - Custom Reportable Recruiting Fields - Recruiting Management
