2840284 - Failed Export after unpublishing Catalog Extension

Symptom

  • A Custom Catalog Extension had previously been published and transported to the Production System
  • The catalog is no longer needed, so it has been unpublished by clicking "Revoke" in the Custom Catalog Extensions app
  • A Software Collection correctly shows the change to the Custom Catalog Extension but, when exported, it fails with the error

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Cause

Even though the Custom Catalog Extension is unpublished, it still shows as a dependency for the application it was created for

Resolution

  1. After unpublishing the Custom Catalog Extension, click "Remove" in the Custom Catalog Extensions app to remove it from the Application in the Custom Catalog Extensions app
    • This will remove the dependency between the Custom Catalog Extension and the corresponding Custom App
  2. Retry the export of the Software Collection
