2835022 - Candidates cannot log into external careers site - endless loading page - Recruiting Management

Symptom

External candidates cannot log into the external career site. No error appears, the page just reloads and you cannot gain access to your profile.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the External Career Site;
  2. Create a candidate account;
  3. Log off;
  4. Try to log back in - page just reloads and nothing happens after that.

Cause

The object called "Object Configuration" has its "Secured" attribute set as YES. Based on how the system is currently designed to work, this specific object must be set as NO for the candidates to be able to log into external career sites. This is already under the Development team attention and we play to have this addressed in the b1911 release (Internal task: MDF-25654). For now, switching this feature to NO will work around this design.

Resolution

To have this resolved, it will be required to set the system object "Object Configuration" "Secured" attribute as NO and then, run a job to clear the MDF cache.

Set "Object Configuration" "Secured" attribute as NO:

  1. Admin Center;
  2. Configure Object Definition;
  3. Set the search as "Object Definition" ; "Object Configuration" and click "Take Action";

  4. Find the "Secured" attribute and change it from YES to NO

Run a job to clear the MDF cache:
(This must be done by someone with access to the BizX system back-end (Provisioning). If you are an implementation partner (or working with one), please follow the steps below, otherwise please reach out to the support team asking them to follow these steps for you):

  1. Provisioning;
  2. MDF Cache Tool;
  3. Click "Clear Cache"

Note: As we have all the information we need to be able to work on this situation right now and we are already working to have this addressed by our b1911 system release, in case you have just noticed this behavior in your system, please have in mind that it is not necessary to have a support incident open for this. In the meanwhile, feel free to use to proposed workaround.
