2833092 - ECDA connection fails with ELFCLASS64 error message

Symptom

 

  • Trying to connect to a Service running on an ECDA server seeing this error:
    Msg 30001, Level 16, State 0:
    Server 'ECDA_servicename':
    Service [ECDA_Servicename_service] not found. Note:
    If using Service Name Redirection, user ID is case sensitive. <SMR> CT-LIBRARY error: ct_connect(): protocol specific layer: external error:
    The attempt to connect to the server failed.

  • Server log shows:
    LogNotice 08/29/2019 14:12:23.606252 ECDA_Servicename NULL NULL NULL ODBC Driver Manager Library, load failed /export/opt/sybase/easysoft1.10/easysoft/unixODBC/lib/libodbc.so.1 /export/opt/sybase/easysoft1.10/easysoft/unixODBC/lib/libodbc.so.1: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
    LogNotice 08/29/2019 14:12:23.606339 DCANY NULL NULL NULL Could not add invalid service: [ECDA_Servicename]
