Visualizing a Job Requsition brings the error "Your request has not been processed successfully. Please try again. 900-001-6"
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management (RCM) - All versions
Reproducing the Issue
- Login to the system
- Navigate to recruiting
- Open a Job Requisition
- See the error
Error 900-001-6 is a generic error, and one of the causes for this error is having declared in the Job Requisition template the originatorName as a custom operator field, and then reassigning the Originator via "Reassign Job Requisition"
<field-definition id="originatorName" type="operator" required="false" custom="true">
<field-label mime-type="text-plain" lang="en_US"><![CDATA[Originator]]></field-label>
<field-label mime-type="text-plain" lang="es_ES"><![CDATA[Originator]]></field-label>
<field-label mime-type="text-plain" lang="fr_CA"><![CDATA[Originator]]></field-label>
According to RCM Imp. Guide, under section Requisition> Configuring XML > field-definition Elements > id Attribute : you will find this about operatorName: "Automatically captures the value of the user who created the requisition. Should not be configured to be editable by other users"
Currently RCM does not Support any Custom Operators, declaring such fields in XML can cause unpredictable results. (To avoid future mistakes, on release 1905, there was a warning message added when trying to upload such configuration, KBA 2803242)
Remove operatorName from the xml and then try to reassign the operator again
