2811362 - Integration Center: PGP Encryption for Outbound Attachment Integrations

Symptom

In this document we shall discuss PGP Encryption for Outbound Attachment Integrations in the context of Integration Center.

If you use Integration Center to send sensitive data, it is always recommended to encrypt the data at message level. Security Center offers message level encryption using PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) encryption methodology.
The PGP keys are used in the PGP Encryptor step. In an application, each user has an encryption key that is publicly known and a private key that is known only to that user.

PGP Encryption is available in the Destination Settings Tab under 'Advanced Settings'. In this scenario, we consider Type Attachment as PDF files, not raw data.

Reproducing the Issue

Create an Integration Center Job.
Select 'More Integration Types'.
Choose Format 'Attachement'.
Navigate to the Destination Settings Tab and view 'Advanced Settings'.
Note: File Encryption is NOT available.

Cause

This is the current system behavior.
It is not possible in Integration Center.
Currently, encryption is given only to encrypt data, not for the files.

Resolution

Choose a Simple Output Integration or CSV file to encrypt the data.
