Symptom
You want to know how the determination of language for subject & content of the e-mail triggered from a Workflow Rule works.
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer
Resolution
- Check recipient's basic setting.
Case 1: If language is maintained in the recipient's basic setting and in workflow subject also maintained in the same language then the language in email subject and content will be same as what maintained in the recipient's basic setting.
Case 2: If language is maintained in the recipient's basic setting but subject is not maintained in the basic setting language then follow step 2.
Case 3: If language is not maintained in the recipient's basic setting then follow Step 2.Check corresponding language for the business partner.
- Check corresponding language for the business partner.
Case 1: If corresponding language for the business partner is maintained and subject is also maintained the workflow then the language in email subject and content will be same as what maintained in the business partner.
Case 2: If corresponding language for the business partner is not maintained but in workflow if the language is maintained then follow step 3.
Case 3: if corresponding language for the business partner is not maintained then follow step 3.
- Pick default language maintained in the workflow subject.
You can check the language maintained in User Basic Settings screen following:
- Go to Personalize.
- Click on My Settings.
- Set a Language.
