What to expect while using "test email" in Email Campaign in Production.

Resolution

In Email Campaigns, it is possible to send a "Test Email" to a chosen address to see what the email will look like when the candidates receive it.

Please note that when the test email is sent, any tokens used in the email such as [[CANDIDATE_FIRST_NAME]], [[CANDIDATE_LAST_NAME]], etc. will not be resolved. This is because "test email" is not associated with any single candidate.

However, the tokens should be resolved when a real email campaign is sent.

Also note the Test email feature will only work in Production. No Emails will be sent from preview instances by design. See KBA 2725748 - Test Email Campaign from preview instance does not work - RCM/RMK

Finally, be advised that you cannot use your own corporate email address to test. Only external emails can be used at present. See KBA 2858951 - Internal Candidates are not receiving Email Campaigns
