2784114 - User Interactions Reports Do Not Pull All Historical Data

Symptom

You want to pull out historical data from the Web Reports created on the top of Response Time Analysis data source; However, you have noticed it fetches data from the last 30 days at maximum and no data prior to one month is displayed.

For example, you need a report on all internal users and partner users who have visited sales quotes or quote console views from a long period of time.

Some of the report faces delivered by SAP are:

  • Avg. Response Times by Day
  • Avg. Response Times by Hour - Yesterday
  • Cold Vs Warm Interactions
  • End to End Response Time
  • Response Time Analysis
  • Response Time by Week - Extended Percentile View
  • Response Time by Week - Percentile View
  • Screen Adoption By User
  • Screen Usage Trend
  • Usage by Screen
  • User Interactions by Day
  • User Interactions by Hour
  • User Login by IP Address and Performance

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Analysis Work Center
  2. Open the report User Interactions by Day (ID:COD_RESP_TIME_ANA_Q0004);
  3. In the Selection Area, for the field Date you can either select a range of date manually or make use of the relative selections available for usage.

Regardless the filter criteria used, no data prior to 30 days is displayed in the report.

This applies to data sources too:

  1. Go to the work center Business Analytics.
  2. Go to the view Design Data Sources.
  3. Preview a usage data source such as Response Time Analysis.
  4. In the Date field, add a relative selection dating back over 30 days from now such as "Last Year, Current Year, Next Year" and run the report.
  5. You will notice that there are only dates for the current year and only for the last 30 days.

Cause

This is the expected system behavior. Due to large volume of logs recorded for each of activities involved, the limit of data displayed is last 30 days.

Resolution

Select a range of dates which does not exceed the last 30 days from your current day. If you would like to request changes to this feature, you can open a thread on the influence forum:
