2754670 - Copied Document Does Not Have Related Document Information from Source

You have a Sales Quote for example that contains Business Transactional Document, however, while creating a new Sales Quote using the Action "Copy". The system does not carry the existing Business Transactional Document into the newly created quote.

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

Lets use a Sales Quote for example creating the reference from an Opportunity.

  1. Go to the Sales work center.
  2. Go to the Opportunities view.
  3. Click on New.
  4. Fill the mandatory fields.
  5. Save and Open.
  6. Go to the facet Sales Documents.
  7. Click on New in the Sales Quote pane.
  8. Fill the mandatory fields.
  9. Save and Open.
  10. Go to the Document Flow of the newly created quote.
  11. Result: you have link established from the previous Opportunity.
  12. Using the same Sales Quote, click on Actions.
  13. Click in Copy.
  14. Fill the mandatory fields.
  15. Save and Open.
  16. Go to the Document Flow facet.
  17. Result: No reference is maintained from the previous source.

When creating a document using the Action Copy, Cloud for Customer considers as a new document without keeping any reference.

This is expected system behavior.
