Symptom

How to close E-Verify activity of a candidate whose no longer working with the company?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 1.0 - All Versions

Cause

  • Candidate is terminated
  • Candidate's voluntary termination

Resolution

For Live Customer(s)

Normal Closure Process

  1. Navigate to SAP SuccessFactors HCM
  2. Find candidates E-Verify activity who is no longer employed or voluntarily left the company
  3. Open the activity and click Resolve Case button
  4. A panel will show with the question "Is the employee currently employed with this company?", select No if the candidate is not employed
  5. Click Request Closure Options underneath the Yes/No selection
  6. Select the reason why the E-Verify Activity needs to be closed
  7. Done

Resolve Case Button Missing

  1. Navigate to SAP SuccessFactors HCM
  2. Find candidates E-Verify activity who is no longer employed or voluntarily left the company
  3. Resolve Case button is missing
  4. Click Submit Initial Verification, Candidate's data will be sent to E-Verify system
  5. Resolve Case button will now show that once Case Number is generated
  6. Click Resolve Case button
  7. A panel will show with the question "Is the employee currently employed with this company?", select No if the candidate is not employed
  8. Click Request Closure Options underneath the Yes/No selection
  9. Select the reason why the E-Verify Activity needs to be closed
  10. Done

SSN is being Required in E-Verify

  1. Navigate to SAP SuccessFactors HCM
  2. Find candidates E-Verify activity who is no longer employed or voluntarily left the company
  3. Take the activity and confirm that activity cannot moved to the next Panel because SSN is required
  4. Close the activity
  5. Delete the activity (There is no legal implication since case number is not yet generated and sent to E-Verify; in addition, the system restricts user if SSN is not captured)

Request Closure Options Failed to Show/ No Closure Options Available in the Current State of the Case

  1. Navigate to SAP SuccessFactors HCM
  2. Find candidates E-Verify activity who is no longer employed or voluntarily left the company
  3. Open the activity and click Resolve Case button
  4. A panel will show with the question "Is the employee currently employed with this company?", select No if the candidate is not employed
  5. Click Request Closure Options underneath the Yes/No selection
  6. An error occurs and Closure Options are not generated, unable to close the E-Verify Activity
