When creating an Offer Approval, the fields that should populate or used to populate automatically aren't populating, and now we need to fill those fields manually.
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the candidate's application page;
- On the right side of the screen, click on Action > Offer > Offer Approval;
- When the page of Offer Approval opens, the fields that should populate automatically don't populate with information, and you have to fill them manually.
In the XML template of Offer Details, it is possible to create two types of fields: standalone fields and referenced fields.
The standalone fields are for fields that only exist in the Offer Detail template, while the referenced fields are for fields mapped to Job Application template or Job Requisition template.
When you have fields mapped to Job Application or Job Requisition, they must be filled in on these pages for the fields to populate in the Offer Approval automatically. Hence, if you don't populate information on these fields at the source (Job Application or Job Requisition), they won't populate automatically on the offer, and they will need to be filled manually.
If in your XML template, Offer Details, the fields that aren't populating automatically are mapped to a Job Application or Job Requisition templates, it's needed to fill them in the source field with a value/information so they can populate on Offer Approval automatically.
For example, if you are creating an offer approval to a candidate that hasn't applied, and the fields that aren't populating should have been populating automatically from Job Application, you should check if that field is filled in the Application page. If it's not filled there, this is probably the reason why it sometimes populates automatically and sometimes it doesn't. The same behavior and resolution applies to fields mapped to Job Requisition.
There is no way to auto-populate standalone fields on the offer.
