Symptom

  • Client connection executing the sp_showplan stored procedure is unexpectedly terminated.
  • ASE errorlog contains an "infected with signal 11" error in the module show_plan() with a stack trace:

Current process (0x37001c) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address 0x0x0000000000faac61 (show_plan+0x722), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x0x000000000000001c)

  • The stack trace includes the following functions:
