The user cannot add the same product twice on Sales Order creation using Add Product.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Sales work center.
  2. Go to the Sales Orders work view.
  3. Click on New.
  4. On the Sales Order creation screen, click on Add Products.
  5. Select the Product ABC on the value selection (ABC represents the product description).
  6. Select the Product ABC once again.

The product ABC will be add only once.


Since 1811 a new feature on Add Product was implemented where the value selection works to add a new product and as a search bar. When you try to add a product that have been already added to the Sales Order, the system will select the line which this product is maintained, instead of adding the same product once again.


This is the expected system behavior. In order to add the same product twice, the user can use the Multiple UoM feature, which allows the user adds the same products with different units of measure.

Also, the user can add the same products twice after Sales Order creation. The user could go to the Products facet and create new entries for products as required. It is described on the steps below:

  1. Go to the Sales work center.
  2. Go to the Sales Orders work view.
  3. Create a new Sales Order.
  4. Click on Save and Open.
  5. Go to the Products facet.
  6. Click on Add.
  7. Select the Product ABC under Product field.
  8. Click on Add and New.
  9. Select the Product ABC under Product field once.
  10. Click on Add.
  11. The Product ABC will be included twice in different lines.
