2708738 - Signal 11 in np__connect_cb() from CtlibController - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • The value of configurable parameter 'cis idle connection timeout' is larger than 0.  
  • There exists idle CIS|OMNI connections.
  • Sequence of three events in ASE errorlog:
      
    1. Process with spid 9 (HK CHORES) reported ct_cancel and ct_close failure messages while it tried to terminate idle cis connections:
       
          RDESDISC, spid 1510 rdesp 0x7fc8913c4df0 rd_connection 0x7fc77294c8c0: ct_cancel(CS_CANCEL_ALL) failed.
          usctclose(CS_FORCE_CLOSE) returns CS_FAIL
          RDESDISC, spid 1510 rdesp 0x7fc8913c4df0 rd_connection 0x65b9880: ct_close(CS_FORCE_CLOSE) failed.
       
    2. Signal 11 (SIGSEGV) in np__connect_cb() with a stack trace:  

         Current process (0x0) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
         Address 0x0x00000000020044a2 (np__connect_cb+0x22), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x0x0000000000000090) 

      The stack trace includes the following functions:
       
         kisignal
         np__connect_cb
         sybnet__async_poll

    3. Run to completion task 'CtlibController' exiting
    4. Internal timer message:
       
         Warning: The internal timer is not progressing. If this message is generated multiple times, report to SAP Technical Support and restart the server (alarminterval=-681).
