How to use forgot password functionality of SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding
Cause
- New hire(s) forgot their password
- Multiple try of entering credentials
- New hire(s) locked out in the system
Resolution
There are 2 ways to use forgot password, see below instruction.
Provide Candidates Reset Password Link Manually
- Share the standard Onboarding link to candidate, see KBA 2635937
- Add the following string after the link '/RecoveryPassword.aspx?Account=[InsertOnboardingAccountID]
e.g. https://onboarding8.successfactors.com/ONBPREM/RecoveryPassword.aspx?Account=ONBID - Candidate will need to enter the Onboarding username/loginID to proceed resetting the account password
- A security question will be asked after submitting the username/loginID, screenshot below for better understanding
Forgot Password Link in Onboarding Welcome Message
- Candidate will use the Paperwork link
- Candidate will direct to Onboarding login page and click the 'Forgot Password' button
- Candidate will need to enter the Onboarding username/loginID to proceed resetting the account password
- A security question will be asked after submitting the username/loginID, screenshot below for better understanding
