In Hybris Storefront, there is a bug that impacts multiple hybris versions. This bug is related to CartItem total. The total of CartIem does not match the order sub/total even if there is a single item in the cart.
As you can see in the screenshot above, a single item was added to the cart multiple times. The quantity keeps on changing but the total amount in incorrect as per the Base price of the item and the quantity.
