A candidate is able to delete the value from a required field of a previously submitted application

Reproducing the Issue

Note: Mobile Apply has to be enabled in your instance.

1. A candidate applies to a job and later goes back to edit thier submitted application in their jobs applied portlet.


2. When a candidate opens the applied job, they have the ability to delete a required field.


3. The resume will be removed from the submitted application if they click on the trash bin icon, even without clicking on the Update button.





This is currently considered the expected behaviour of the system, as the system validates the required fields on the 'submit' of an application only. An enhancement request has been submitted with the product management team to change this behaviour, to validate required fields on any update made to an application. There is no date set for this enhancement to be release.


Mobile apply can be disabled in the meantime by navigating to Admin Centre - Manage recruting sites, and unchecking the option 'Enable Mobile Apply'.
