2676447 - Error: Cost Center Missing

Symptom

An error message: Cost Center Missing is displayed while trying to edit the Manual Tax Entries.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Tax Management workcenter.
  2. Navigate to the Manual Tax Entries' view.
  3. Select a Manual Tax Entry AAA(AAA refers to the Manual tax entry) and choose Edit.
  4. Later click on the View All option.

Cause

The reason for the the error message is that the Account Assignment Type for the account assignment line items is defined as CC - Cost Center.

Resolution

To post this Manual Tax Entry without entering a cost center, you must change the Account Assignment Type to ACC - General Ledger Account only.

  1. Go to the Tax Management workcenter.
  2. Navigate to the Manual Tax Entries' view.
  3. Open the Manual Tax Entry AAA.
  4. Click on the Personalize this screen option which is displayed at the top of the screen, right-hand side.
  5. Select the Account Assignment and make the field Account Assignment Type visible.
  6. Save your changes (in the personalization menu).
  7. Now you will notice that the current account assignment type is set as CC - Cost Center.
  8. Change it ACC - General Ledger Account only.

Now the error will not appear.
