2660379 - Message 'Financials Assignment for Material ABC/Business Residence XYZ not specified' is Still Displayed After Valuation Maintenance

You have maintained account determination group and all other mandatory data in Material ABC  (ABC represents the ID of material)/Business Residence XYZ (XYZ stands for the ID of Business Residence), however message 'Financials Assignment for Material ABC/Business Residence XYZ not specified' is still displayed.

SAP Business ByDesign All Versions

1. Go to the Inventory Valuation work center.
2. Go to the Materials view.
3. Show All Materials and search for ABC.
4. Select Material ABC and click on Edit.
5. View tab Valuation.
6. Select the row of Business Residence XYZ.
7. You find Account Determination Group, Perpetual Cost Method and Cost are all maintained well, however, message 'Financials Assignment for Material ABC/Business Residence XYZ not specified' is still displayed.

The message is coming up because it is a task created manually on DD.MM.YYYY asking to maintain business residence XYZ for material ABC. If you go into the change history of the material, you can see that the business residence has been maintained for the material after DD.MM.YYYY. It means that the maintenance is after the task creation.

You can manually close the task and then it will no longer appear.

1. Click on the message 'Financials Assignment for Material ABC/Business Residence XYZ not specified' on top.
2. Click on Yes to confirm
