2654964 - Error occurred when starting the MDX Parser with 7.53 / 7.49 Kernel (BRAINOLAPAPI011 or BRAINOLAPAPI152)


  • After importing SAP kernel 7.53 or SAP kernel 7.49, the MDX parser could not be started.
  • In SM59 the TCP/IP connection MDXTEST works fine for the connection test.
  • Go to MDXTEST and execute a MDX statement or just a statement like 'test', errors related to starting the MDX parser are shown as below:
    • Error occurred when starting the parser

    • Error occurred when starting the parser: connection to partner * broken / CPIC Message no. BRAINOLAPAPI011

    • Destination MDX PARSER is a unicode RFC destination. Message no. BRAINOLAPAPI152

    • MDX statement sporadically leads to an error (BRAINOLAPAPI153)
  • Similar like the following entries were written to the /var/log/messages file on OS level:

"... mdxsvr: *** glibc detected *** /usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS##/exe/mdxsvr: free(): invalid pointer ..."
