Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Supply Planning Work Center.
  2. Go to Products View.
  3. Search Product ABC (ABC stands for production ID) with Production Specification DEF (DEF stands for production specification ID).
  4. Click Open.
  5. Click Run Planning - Multi BoM level.

You could see that there were multiple purchase proposals generated. However, in the material master data, the planning procedure is "demand - driven",  lot-sizing method is "periodic lot-size", and period type is "month". You expect that there should be only one proposal generated for demand within a month.

For Products with Production Specification, the lot sizing method "Lot-for-Lot" is automatically applied. The lot-sizing method maintained in the product data are ignored for supply planning of products with production specification.

This is standard system behavior.
