You receive the error 'You do not have authorization to use some of the data in this list' during a duplicate check, for example when using the Associate account and contact function on a Lead.

Reproducing the Issue
Please note that this issue can occur within several views, for this example we are using Leads.
- Go to the Sales work center.
- Go to the Leads view.
- Open the respective Lead ABC (ABC represents the Lead ID).
- Select the Actions wheel.
- Select Associate account and contact function.
Actual Result: You receive the error message 'You do not have authorization to use some of the data in this list'.
The message lets you know that your user is NOT authorized to see (some) of the instances shown in the duplicate check result list.
For example user 123 (123 represents the user name) is NOT authorized to see Account A1 because A1 is related to sales-org SO_XYZ.
But the user 123 is only allowed to see data of sales-org SO_123.
In short: As soon as there is (at least) one Account in the list of duplicates where the user is not authorized, you will get this message.
Another reason which would underline this system behaviour could be, if you have activated the homeless feature in your Business Configuration.
("Built-in Service and Support" ->System Management ->User and Access Management question Do you want in general restrict access to data records that do not contain any access restriction relevant content?.)
This behaviour makes sure that accounts with no territory and no sales-data and no account-team cannot be accessed by a user like our example user 123 who has restricted access.
This will also lead to the same error message if a homeless account appears as duplicates.
This is expected system behaviour.
