2623674 - Signal 11 in LeHashTable::Probe() or LeHashPartition::AddTuple() - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • A select query with minus/except may cause a signal 11 (SIGSEGV) or system exception 0xc0000005 in the module LeHashTable::Probe() with a stack trace, for example:

Current process (0x55002b) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address 0x0x00000000021d82b6 (LeHashTable::Probe(LeAlignedDataRow*, unsigned int*, int)+0x26), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x0x0000000000000190)

  • The stack trace includes the following modules:

LeHashTable::Probe
LeHashContext::ProcessTuple
LeHashContext::GetNext
LeHashOp::_LeOpNext
LeEmitSndOp::_LeOpNext
LePlanNext

  Note: A complete stack trace is available under Attachments.

  • There are some other stack trace patterns:

- (1) -
LeHashPartition::AddTuple
LeHashTable::Build
LeHashContext::ProcessTuple
LeHashContext::GetNext
LeHashOp::_LeOpNext
LeEmitSndOp::_LeOpNext
LePlanNext

- (2) -
LeHashTableIter::Set
LeHashBucket::Find
LeHashTable::Probe
LeHashContext::ProcessTuple
LeHashContext::GetNext
LeHashOp::_LeOpNext
LeOperator::LeOpNext
LeEmitSndOp::_LeOpNext
LePlanNext
