The following dates apply to the retirement of the V12 Home Page UI feature.
The new home page UI is based on SAP Fiori design standards and is now recommended for use by all customers. The new home page replaces the old V12 Home Page UI.
For V12 Home Page, the following dates apply:
End of Development Phase: The time leading up to the end of maintenance for a feature or version. During this time, no new features or enhancements will be delivered and only high priority bug fixes will be considered. There is no change in customer support during this phase. Customers are encouraged to start planning their upgrade for the feature or version. In Q2 2016, the new Fiori-based home page was made generally available to all customers. This was also the last release in which enhancements to V12 Home Page were considered. As announced separately in Release Information Webinars and other communications at that time, the new home page is the focus of all new enhancements and is recommended for all customers.
End of Maintenance: The date after which no further bug fixes or patches will be delivered for the feature or version. Customer support is limited to how-to help. As of Q4 2017, we will no longer deliver enhancements, bug fixes or patches that are specifically for the V12 Home Page UI.
Retirement Date: The date after which the feature or version is permanently disabled and no longer supported. Q3 2018 is the last release in which customers can productively use the V12 Home Page. As part of the Q3 2018 release, we will automatically enable the new, Fiori-based home page for all customer's preview environments who have not yet enabled it themselves. This update will then be pushed to all production environments as of the Q4 2018 release. The V12 Home Page and its corresponding administration tools will no longer be supported.
