2613084 - E-mail Notification "Access Rights Have Changed"

Symptom

Users receive an e-mail with the subject "Access Rights Have Changed", even if their access rights were not changed.

Environment

  • SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer.
  • SAP Business ByDesign.

Reproducing the Issue

It can happen after a system update, such as hotfix deployments and system upgrades.

Cause

There is a JOB that runs after the system update\upgrade and as part of this, it will run for all the users, even if there was no change in their roles. From the framework, it creates the task even if there is no change other than the system administrative data. This is the reason why a task may be created for all users and made them receive the e-mail notification.

This action is not done by a Business User or a Support User, it is done by a Technical User.

Resolution

Development Team is aware that this may create some confusion and put it in their list to change the behavior, to avoid confusion. However, a date for when this change in behavior will be released is not available yet.
