2600576 - Performance Management - Document Forward Notification explained

This article explains what triggers the Document Forward Notification, and who is the recipient of this type of email notification.

SuccessFactors Performance Management

The Document Forward Notification is triggered by two actions:

1. In a Signature step, when a user "Signs" the Performance Form and the form moves to the Completed state.  The Document Forward Notification will be received by the Manager and any Additional Recipients added under Email Notification Template Settings.

The [[DOC_COMMENT]] token does not generate the Routing Comment box in this scenario.  No comment can be added to the Document Forward Notification when triggered via the "Sign" action.

2. When the "Send Copy" button is used to send a copy of a completed form to another user outside of the route map workflow.

The [[DOC_COMMENT]] token does generate the Routing Comment box when using the "Send Copy" function.  This allows users to add a comment to the Document Forward Notification.
