2593567 - Learning domain (LMS) Cross Domain report functionality in the Online Report Designer (ORD) / Canvas Reports

Symptom

Can we use the cross domain functionality when creating a Learning (LMS) report in ORD?

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

When starting an ORD / Canvas report query with the Learning domain, the other domains become greyed out or fields from other subdomain schemas (SDS) cannot be added.

Cause

Currently joining Learning (LMS) with other domains is not possible.
This is because the Cross Domain functionality is part of the core Adhoc framework, whereas for Learning we are fetching the data via a separate API directly to Plateau.

Resolution

The current cross domain functionality requires that the data be stored in the same data warehouse.
At the moment, LMS is still stored separately, so to display LMS data in ORD we use a separate internal API into LMS.
So creating a cross domain with other modules is not possible.
