• You want to establish a connection to import data from SAP S/4HANA on-premise or SAP S/4HANA Cloud Edition into SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• You want to establish a connection to export data from SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to SAP S/4HANA on-premise or SAP S/4HANA Cloud Edition.
• For a live data connection to SAP S/4HANA, see article 2532706.
• Note: For export to S/4HANA we recommend using the SAP Cloud Export REST API.

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise)
• SAP S/4HANA on-premise Edition
• SAP S/4HANA Cloud Edition

1. Create a new connection in SAP Analytics Cloud.
2. Choose create Import Data Connection > S/4HANA.
3. Fill in the required information.

• For tracing the export in S/4HANA on-premise, use the SAP Gateway Tracing Tool with transaction code IWFND/TRACES.
1. Turn on the trace before running the S/4HANA data export (Note that the active trace is valid for two hours).
2. Add the connection user used in S/4HANA connection for data export.
3. Change the error log level from Secure to Full.
4. Check the "Payload Trace" option.
5. After the export is executed, check the collected trace in Payload Trace table.
