In an Opportunity, the Sales Organizations updated value is not reflected in the Sales Organization/Sales Unit field.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Sales work center.
  2. Go to the Opportunities view.
  3. Open the Opportunity ABC (ABC represents the Opportunity ID).
  4. The Sales Organization/Sales Unit field is not displaying the updated Value.


If a Sales document is created, (opportunity, sales quote, order, etc) master data is determined based on the current state and this is persisted in the document. This is the case for the address valid at that time of the Org Unit as well. If you change the name of the Org Unit completely with no validity change, the change is reflected in the Business Object and the same address is adopted. You have delimited the previous name and created a new name (with an own period). This leads to a new address in the system.


These new addresses are not pushed into existing documents. Only new documents will get these new addresses (based on their validity).
