2589934 - Background information not visible for managers when user is under Global Assignment

Symptom

When user is under Global Assignment, managers are unable to see background blocks, as they keep loading.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login or proxy as a manager;
  2. Go to a employee's profile that is currently under Global Assignment;
  3. Scroll down to a background block;
  4. See that it keeps loading.

Cause

Background and Trend Data are not synced under Global Assignment.

According to the Global Assignment design, background information should always be accessed from Home employment.

Resolution

The feature described in this case is considered an enhancement request (customisation). Please validate that this enhancement request is still important to you, and if so, submit your enhancement request in the Customer Community:  KBA 2090228

Please note that the support teams does not have the ability to process or affect future product feature enhancements and the Product Managers do not monitor support incidents, but rather they look at our Customer Community.

WORKAROUND: You can grant manager permissions to view the background elements of the employee to their home assignment, and the block should load while in GA as well.
