Symptom
- The Communication Arrangement application cannot be accessed
- After clicking on the tile, the user sees the application window with the three blue dots and, in the background, the following messages are shown:
- Unsaved changes by another user
- Locked by another user
- This situation has persisted for a few days, outside the normal 30 minute timeout for locks on Communication Arrangements

Resolution

SAP Development identified an issue in several applications including "Business Catalogs"

After clicking on "Adapt Changes", roles were updated
-
This issue has been addressed in a hotfix delivered to all customers in mid-December 2017
- After manually activating an inactive Business Role for this particular customer, the issue was resolved
