2568067 - Deleting or Disabling the DPCS statement for career site - Recruiting Management

Symptom

When a candidate creates a candidate profile, if the instance is configured to use DPCS, the candidate must either accept or decline the statment. If you enable DPCS and you want to disable the statment this article will explain the consequences and what is possible to accomplish.

Here is how the Data Privacy Consent Statement appears to an External Candidate. The internal candidates will see a similar pop up in case it is set.

Environment

SuccessFactors Recruiting Management (RCM) - All versions

Reproducing the Issue

  • Access the external RCM Career site
  • Create an account 
  • Click in data privacy statment 

Cause

If you are not using DPCS yet, the activation of this feature should be carefully evaluated. Once it is turned on, if we have any application in the status like "Deleted on demand by Candidate", "Delete on demand by Admin" or any other withdraw status you will not be able to turn the feature off. For this reason, the feature needs to be turned on only if it is required by the business. 

Note: If you are using DPCS for some time and now you want to disable this feature, it will not be possible.

Resolution

As mentioned in the cause section, this feature cannot be disable once it is enabled. Always evaluate if this is necessary to have this turned on.
