2567211 - Cloud Connector installation directory is corrupt and software can not be removed

Symptom

The directory where the Cloud Connector was installed got corrupted, and now it is not possible to uninstall the SCC using the standard method recommended by the SAP documentation. It is not possible to install a newer version of the Cloud Connector because the old version of the Connector is still installed, but corrupt.

Using the 'uninstall' option in the Windows software administration tool You are getting the following error popup:
"Another version of the product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of the product, use Add\Remove Programs on the Control Panel."

You want to know the procedure in order to uninstall the "corrupt" version of the SCC, so that a newer one can be installed.
