Symptom


UTF8BIN collation doesn't handle German umlaut chars and Polish national chars correctly.

  • The function ASCII on an umlaut char or Polish national chars returns NULL.
  • UPPER/UCASE and LOWER/LCASE functions on an umlaut char or on Polish national chars don't convert the chars to upper/lower case.
