2561264 - Edit Page Layout Not Reflected For User In a Business Role

Symptom

You have added extension fields in master layout, then you want to hide certain fields in page layout. However, the changes made are not being saved for the users assigned to the role associated with the layout.

Environment

In SAP Cloud for Customer HTML5 UI.

Reproducing the Issue

  1.  Adapt Edit Page Layout
  2. Select the page layout XYZ (XYZ is a page layout)
  3. Hide a filed ABC (ABC is a field in the screen)
  4. End Layout Changes
  5. Changes are not reflect to the user

Cause

When the page layout is related to the OWL you need change the default page layout from Master to the necessary page layout.

Resolution

  1.  Adapt Assign Page Layout
  2. Select the BO
  3. Change the default page layout to the XYZ layout
