1. Go to Admin Center -> Manage Job Profile Content


2.  Select "Setup Families and Roles" -> Click "Role" Tab -> Click "Create Role"


3. Create a Role Record

a. Provide a "Role" Name -> Select the Family that will be associated with the Role

* Notes:

        • User can add translation of the Role by clicking the Globe Icon beside the Role Name Text Box.
        • Family can no longer be modified/changed after saving the Role.

4. Click "Create" Role



  • Manage Job Profile Role Data via Import File

1.  Download “Role” Template

a. Go to Admin Center> Manage Job Profile Content Import and Export > Select “Role” File Template


Note: A confirmation box will appear to ask if the user want to download the template along with the data. User may select “No” if they only want the template file and “Yes” if otherwise.

 2: Open the generated CSV File to provide all Role Data that needs to be added in the system

Expected Values:


Name.defaultValue: Default Role Name

Name.<!language!>: Translation Value of the Role to other Languages

Family.EternalCode: GUID of the Family where the Role is associated

Note: User may identify the Family GUID by doing the following:

  • Checking the Family GUID in Manage Job Profile Content
    • Go to Admin Center > Manage Job Profile Content> Setup Families and Role > Search for the Family > Look for it GUID Column



  • Checking the Family GUID by using the Family Export File
    • Go to Admin Center > Manage Job Profile Content Import/Export > Export “Family” Data.
    • Go to Admin Center > Monitor Job > Download “FamilyEntity_MDFExport….” File


3. Import the Role CSV File

  • Go to Admin Center > Manage Job Profile Content Import/Export > Select Type: “Role” > Add Role CSV File > Select a File Encoding Type.



  • Click “Import”

Note: User may “Validate” the records first to identify if the import will be successful or if there are some issues with the file/records.

4.  Validate the Import

  •  Go to Admin Center > Manage Job Profile Content > Setup Families and Roles > Select “Role” Tab


Note: Kindly make sure that Role Names are all unique (even in Translated Role Name) in order to avoid issues during the import.
