You are not authorized to change an object, even though access restrictions are set up correctly.
Reproducing the Issue
We are using a Lead as example.
- Go to the Sales work centre.
- Select the Leads view.
- Search and open a relevant Lead.
- Click the Edit button.
Following error message is displayed: ‘You are not authorized to change this lead’.
The user, who is trying to edit the lead has a Distribution Channel assigned under their Sales Data, which is missing in the Lead.
In order to have access to the object, the Sales Data has to be the same on user side as well as on the object side.
You have to add the Distribution Channel to the Lead, or remove it from user side in order to be able to edit the business object.
