2528702 - LMS - How to hide Topics/Subject Area filter in Catalog search results?

This KBA article provides information for administrators ability to hide Topics [Catalog 3.0], Subject Area[Catalog 2.0] filter when end user searches for items in a catalog.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning Management System (LMS)

1. Logon as end user and search for an item in a Catalog
2. Note that there is a "Topics" or "Subject Area" filter on the left:
   
   

Setting catalogSearchFilters[SubjectArea] to false will hide the subject areas in catalog search. Below are the steps:

1. Logon to LMS Admin
2. Navigate to System Admin > Configuration > System Configuration > CATALOG
3. Look for "catalogSearchFilters" and set it to "false":
1. catalogSearchFilters[SubjectArea]=false
4. Click "Apply Changes" to save
5. The "Topics" filter in Catalog Search will no longer appear
